A Directory Assistant is the person you are calling if you want to find something in your phone directory.

And believe me, this job is a no joke job. Very stressful,painful, and boring.
Here's the five main reasons why I quit.
#5 Very Strict In Attendance. If you are 1 minute late , you are considered absent. I am not exaggerating things here, this is true. Being late or absent is a mortal sin in this kind of job.
#4 Callers Are Smarter than the 5th Grader. They are rude, hard to understand their tantrums, they want you to do your job fast, they will laugh at you if you don't get the listing for the first time. They will yell at you and say: " Deaf! Damn! Ass@"
Well, since this is my blog and I own this, let me tell you the reason why we can't get the listing the first time. It is not because we can't understand the caller or we are deaf, it's because the line is garble or breaking up.
So customers! don't treat us like you are smarter than us, we know our job, we do it right. And let me tell you, we were trained for 2 months to master this. I really hate this arrogant people who feel that they are smarter than the 5th grader. Well, you are not even smarter than a pig. Heheh...glad that I am not doing this job no more. I don't feel like I am in the hell with demons no more. Hahah!
#3You have to be Delightful...Always Be Delightful. Even if you are really tired and exhausted in receiving 300 to 400 calls in 8 hours, you need to be happy always, even if the customer is already yelling at you, you still need to let them feel that you appreciate their business, still make them feel that they are always welcome to call you back. My goodness! excuse me, I am not a parrot, I am a human being and even if my boss is saying " just don't take it personally"... I am sorry...I'm taking it personally and in the first place what "professionalism" can you expect with this kind of job. Aside from wearing your business casual clothes?
#2 There's No Challenge..At All! I can't imagine myself doing this job for a long time, let's say 1 year, 2 years...I cant! Doing the same thing everyday of my life. I really can't.
Im glad that I only had this job for only 3 weeks. Imagine how toxic this job is. It took me 3 weeks to enjoy it, I mean forcing myself to enjoy it.

So for those who make this job a career. I really admire your patience and hardwork. Like I've said this job is a really stressful job, so if you have this job for 1 or 3 years. You are a superman though. You can do it. And this job is really for you.
But for me, I really have no regrets at all. And I admit, I am not the best person to have this job. There are other people who can do it. And can enjoy it. But yes, it's not me.
